Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC does not exercise any direct or indirect influence over any aspect associated with supported independent educational grants. Company policies are based on guidelines set by government agencies (e.g., FDA, OIG), accrediting organizations (e.g., ACCME, AAFP, ANCC, ACPE), industry (e.g., PhRMA), and medical associations (e.g., AMA).

Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC supports the following grant types:
| CME/CE Certified | Educational activity for health care professionals such as physicians, nurses and/or pharmacists that provides continuing education credit. |
| Non-Certified | Educational activity for health care professionals such as physicians, nurses and/or pharmacists that DOES NOT provide continuing education credit. |
| Patient/Caregiver Education | Educational events or printed materials (fact sheets, binders, etc) produced for patients and/or caregivers. |
| Fellowship Support | Support of fellow research in a therapeutic area of interest to the company. All Fellowship program grants must have 3 or more fellows in the program. |
| Fellowship Travel | Support of fellow travel to a national or international meeting with a focus on a therapeutic area of interest to the company. All Fellowship program grants must have 3 or more fellows in the program. |
